Lunch at Arthur Academy
YAA students have the option to purchase hot or cold lunch. A lunch menu will be sent home at the beginning of the month. Menu items do change without notice from time to time. Lunches are delivered from the District Middle School Cafeteria every day. Lunches are called in at 8:30 am. If your student is late, you must call the office to order lunch before 8:30 am or pack a lunch.
You may pay for lunches on a daily basis or in a larger amount. We keep track of each child’s balance. Checks should be made out to Arthur Academy.
All students eat lunch with their classmates and are under the supervision of staff members. If you choose to pack a healthy lunch for your student, remember that they do not have access to a microwave or refrigerator. Parents and family members are welcome to join their students for lunch and to volunteer to help students in the lunchroom.
Arthur Academy students may only charge five (5) lunches. After the five charged lunches, the student will need to bring home lunch until the balance is paid. If you need assistance for lunch costs, please fill out the free and reduced lunch application.
Lunches are $3.25 Reduced/Free Lunch--$0.00

Many families may be eligible for free or reduced lunch. A new application needs to be completed every year. See application for more detailed information.
If a student owes money for five or more meals, Arthur Academy will:
(a) Determine if the student has been identified as being categorically eligible for free school meals and can be directly certified without application;
(b) If the student has not been identified as being categorically eligible for free school meals, make at least two attempts to contact the student’s parent or guardian to have the parent or guardian fill out an application to determine if the student is eligible for free or reduced price lunches.
(c) If the student is not eligible or the parent or guardian does not fill out an application, make reasonable efforts to contact the parent or guardian and to offer assistance filling out an application, if appropriate.
